ディレクターマニフェスト
ウルトラファクトリーは全学生が利用できる造形技術支援工房である。だが、他の工房と意を異にするのが第一線で活躍するクリエイターを招いてのウルトラプロジェクトの存在である。
ウルトラプロジェクトに関わるいくつかの心構えをここに記そう。
-目撃せよ！-
そこではプロのアーティストやデザイナーが工房に滞在し実際に制作を行う。普通見る事ができない最先端の創造現場で、プロの制作テクニックを間近に見る事ができる。
-体感せよ！-
ウルトラプロジェクトは実際に美術館で展示を行う作品や、商品として流通するプロダクトを制作する、真剣勝負の現場となる。そこでサポートスタッフとして働く事でプロの厳しい現場を体験できる。
-盗め！-
目撃、体験したプロの技、作家のものづくりに対する姿勢、あらゆる経験を吸収せよ。そして自分の中で消化し、同じ工房内でその創造エネルギーを爆発させよ。
-ともに作れ！-
爆発しウルトラ化した学生として制作し、プロのアーティストとぶつかれ。それはアーティストをも触発し、工房内にものつくりのエネルギーが大きく膨れ上がり再度大爆発を起こすだろう。その爆発は、クリエイターのみならずマネジメントなどでアートの現場を支える人びとを巻き込み、より大きな社会的ムーブメントになるに違いない。

ULTRA FACTORY is a workshop where all the students (at Kyoto University of the Arts) are welcomed. However, the Factory is different from ordinary student workshops in that it invites first-class professional artists and designers to work on the Ultra Project.
- Witness!
At the Ultra Project, guest artists and designers stay at the Factory to produce their own works.
You can witness the real techniques they employ on the spot.
- Experience!
The Ultra Project is a platform to produce works for the public exhibitions and commercial markets.
You can experience the true professionalism as a supporting staff.
- Absorb!
You can absorb what you witness/experience; from the work ethics to techniques, and your creative force can be exploded at the factory.
- Work Together!,
You can use your exploding creative force at the factory and collide with guest artists and designers.
This creative collision will inspire the professionals to induce further creative explosion.
The explosion can inspire those who work in the visual arts and create enormous social movements.
